SUFFRAGETTE- EXHIBITION

SUFFRAGETTE PREMIER
BFI London Film Festival

The protesters were campaigning against DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. They held up banners that read 'DEAD WOMEN CAN'T VOTE' and 'CUTS KILL'. There were women were actually lying on the floor in protest. They were from the organisation 'Sisters uncut. The representative told reporters that "the struggle is definitely not over. Dead women can't vote"

The cast were interviewed about it and they said,
- Carey Mulligan said "I wish i had seen it, For women to do that tonight, I think thats really awesome. It's so exciting."
- Helena Bonham Carter said "I'm glad our film has done something.thats exactly what its there for, if you feel strongly about something and there's an injustice that you speak out and try and get it changed. this is exactly what our characters would do.

Suffragette Box Office
Opening Weekend: $76,224
Total Domestic Gross: $2,681,002
Worldwide Gross: $14,006,868
The daily domestic gross fluctuates often as on November 16th 2015, the daily gross was $111,497 whereas just 2 days before it was $432,911. This is a great difference in comparison the the daily domestic gross on October 26th 2015, 2 weeks after the release of 'Suffragette', $7,556. Probably because it was a Monday? Anyway, daily domestic gross I found on
http://pro.boxoffice.com/statistics/movies/suffragette-2015 makes it clear that there were more people watching 'Suffragette' in the weekend than during the week.
